Wouldn’t it be great if we all knew the exact day we are going to die? I know many people think that would be depressing. But I think it would great!

“LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am” (Psalm 39:4). I don’t want to “stick my head in the sand” and pretend I will live forever. I know “my days are numbered,” I just want to know the number.

If I have only 7 days, I would probably sleep only a couple hours each night so that I would utilize more time. If I have 20 years, I would sleep more so that I could pace myself to accomplish my potential over the long run. Man, do I wish I knew!

Either way, I am frail and have only a few days at best.
